Successful Project Management (with Microsoft Project 2010), 5th Edition, Jack Gido

Gido/Clements' best-selling SUCCESSFUL PROJECT MANAGEMENT, 5E presents everything you need to know to work successfully in today's exciting project management environment, from how to organize and manage effective project teams, to planning, scheduling and cost management.

Revised chapters now closely align with the PMBOK (Project Management Body of Knowledge) framework to ensure you are mastering today's best management practices. Coverage of the latest business developments and challenges introduce issues, such as project constraints, the project charter, and how projects relate to an organization's strategic plan. You even gain experience working with the latest version of today's most popular project management software -- Microsoft Project 2010 -- using the trial version that comes with each new book.

I was required to have this particular book for a course I am taking. This is the single most expensive textbook I have ever purchased for something so thin. If there were a ton of pages, it would not have been so bad...but again I am ripped off on the price.

The content is inline with current beliefs and thoughts about the subject matter, it is well written, but if you do not have College level reading and comprehension, this is not the book for you. The book is very detailed and the end of chapter summaries again are very detailed-but you need to actually read the chapter to know what the summary is about.
