Becoming a Master Manager: A Competing Values Approach, 5th Edition, Robert E. Quinn

This fifth edition emphasizes the importance of developing management skills or admitted that learning about management concepts was not the same as learning how to apply those concepts in practice. It is built on a solid foundation of theory and empirical evidence that provides a compelling case for why specific competencies are important.

The framework offers managers an enduring foundation for analysing what types of behaviors are most appropriate to achieve organisational goals in light of the existing environment. This edition overall gives a strong background in management skills and concepts needed on the job.

Easy to read, great to launch your understanding of leadership. I used it for my business management class. Great book, indeed.

Book products are the best because they give you knowledge, so with that said i love this product. Especially the fact that delivery is instant because its a kindle edition. Thank You.

It was a good book, very informative. Explains the history of management methods and elaborates on the modern day methods in becoming a master manager.

This book is less of a how-to management book and more of a get-to-know-yourself book. The exercises were helpful, but only if you devoted yourself to completing them. The only downside was the book offered a number of hypothetical questions to be answered, but provided little to no discussion of possible responses (only a small portion of the book).
